Al-Muntaqa Ibn al-Jarud 1060 — Wearing armor
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، قَالَ : ثنا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ حُصَيْفَةَ ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ دِرْعَانِ " .
Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two coats of mail.
