Brief Explanation
From this hadith, it is established that practicing coitus interruptus (‘azl) was the custom of some of the Companions during the time of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). And the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) did not prohibit it. Nor was any ruling regarding it revealed in the Noble Qur’an. (Raaz)
