Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): If the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) intended to travel quickly, he would combine Maghrib and Isha prayers and offer them together.

Brief Explanation
Combining Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha during travel is permissible according to Ahl al-Hadith, Imam Ahmad, Imam Shafi'i, Thawri, and Ishaq. Whether one performs "Jama' Taqdim"—that is, offering Asr at the time of Zuhr and Isha at the time of Maghrib—or "Jama' Ta'khir"—that is, offering Zuhr at the time of Asr and Maghrib at the time of Isha—both are allowed.
