Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are five animals whose killing incurs no sin: the crow, the kite, the rat, the scorpion, and the biting dog.

Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Hafsah radi Allahu anha
She is the daughter of Sayyiduna Umar radi Allahu anhu. She was first married to Khunays ibn Hudhafah al-Sahmi. After him, in the third year of Hijrah, she married the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. In Musnad Baqi ibn Makhlad, the number of her narrations is stated to be seven, of which four are agreed upon (muttafaqun alayh). She passed away in 41 Hijri. Some have stated her year of death as 45 Hijri.
