501 صحيح حديث يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ (وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ)
Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reciting (this verse) on the pulpit: "And those in the Fire will cry out, 'O Malik! Let your Lord put an end to us!'" (Az-Zukhruf 77)

Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: Sayyiduna Ya’la ibn Umayyah was an ally of the Quraysh from Makkah. He accepted Islam on the day of the Conquest of Makkah and participated in the expeditions of Ta’if and Hunayn. He used to issue legal verdicts (fatwa) in Makkah. During the caliphate of Sayyiduna Umar radi Allahu anhu, he served as the governor of Yemen. He was a very generous and wealthy Companion. He was the first to initiate the recording of history while he was in Yemen. He narrated approximately twenty ahadith. Imam Dhahabi states that he remained alive until the year sixty Hijri, but it is not known whether he passed away before or after Sayyiduna Mu’awiyah.
