Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Noble Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I have been sent with comprehensive speech (whose wording is concise, eloquent, and expressive, but whose meanings are vast), and I have been supported with awe (cast into the hearts of my enemies). While I was asleep, the keys of the treasures of the earth were brought to me and placed in my hand. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has now gone (to his Lord), and (the treasures whose keys were given) you are now extracting them.

Brief Explanation
In this dream, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was given the glad tidings that, through his Ummah, the great empires of the world would be conquered, and they would become the possessors of their treasures. Subsequently, the complete fulfillment of this dream was witnessed by the Muslims, as they conquered the two greatest empires of the world—Rome and Persia. The statement of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu also alludes to this. (Raaz)
