The freed slave of Sayyiduna Abbas, Umair bin Abdullah, said that I and Abdullah bin Yasar, the freed slave of Hazrat Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), came to Abu Juhaim bin Harithah Sammah Al-Ansari (a companion). So Abu Juhaim narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was coming from the direction of Bi’r Jamal when a man met him on the way and greeted him with salam (that is, Abu Juhaim himself). But the Prophet did not reply. Then he came near a wall and wiped his face and hands, and then replied to his salam.

Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: Sayyiduna Abu Juhaim bin Harith al-Ansari radi Allahu anhu was the nephew of Ubayy bin Ka'b and is a well-known Companion. He remained alive until the caliphate of Mu'awiyah radi Allahu anhu. His name was Abdullah. Some have mentioned his name as Harith and have said that the word "bin" between Abu Juhaim and Harith has been erroneously inserted.
