1633 صحيح حديث أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: خَيْرُ دُورِ الأَنْصَارِ بَنُو النَّجَّارِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ، ثُمَّ بَنُو الْحرِثِ بْنِ خَزْرَجٍ، ثُمَّ بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ؛ وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ: مَأ أَرَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلاَّ قَدْ فَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقِيلَ: قَدْ فَضَّلَكمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ
Hazrat Abu Usaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The family of Banu Najjar is the best household among the Ansar, then the family of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, then the family of Banu Harith bin Khazraj, then the family of Banu Sa'idah, and every household of the Ansar is excellent. Sa'd bin Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I think the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has given superiority to several tribes of the Ansar over us. Someone said to him: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has also given you superiority over many tribes.
Brief Explanation
Narrator of the Hadith: ... Hazrat Malik bin Rabi’ah radi Allahu anhu was well-known by his kunyah, Abu Usaid Sa’idi. He participated in Badr and other battles. In the latter part of his life, he became blind. On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the banner of the Banu Sa’ida tribe was in his hands. It is mentioned in Musnad Bayhaqi that he narrated 28 ahadith. He passed away in 40 Hijri.
