Hadith 1307

Abu Ishaq narrates that I heard Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) say that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out for Madinah, Suraqah bin Malik bin Ju'sham pursued him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) supplicated against him, so his horse sank into the ground. He requested, "Pray to Allah for me (that I may be saved from this calamity); I will not harm you." The Prophet (peace be upon him) prayed for him (and his horse came out of the ground). Hazrat Bara said that once, on the way, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) felt thirsty. Just then, a shepherd passed by. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that then I took a bowl and milked a little milk from one of the flock's goats. I brought that milk and presented it to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who drank it until I was pleased.
