1195 صحيح حديث جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، وَأَبِيهِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنَادَةَ السُّوَائِيّ قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: يَكُونُ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا فَقَالَ كَلِمَةً لَمْ أَسْمَعْهَا فَقَالَ أَبِي: إِنَّهُ قَالَ: كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ
Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "There will be twelve leaders (amirs) in my ummah." Then he said something which I did not hear. Later, my father informed me that he (the Prophet) said, "All of them will be from the Quraysh."
Brief Explanation
Hadith Narrator: ... Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah radi Allahu anhu is also known as Abu Abdullah and Abu Khalid al-Suwa'i. He is the nephew of Sa'id bin Abi Waqqas. He settled in Kufa and had a house built there. He passed away in the year 73 Hijri. He is the narrator of numerous ahadith in the Sahihayn (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim).
