Hadith 1188

Abdullah bin Yazid Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) went out for seeking rain. Bara bin Azib and Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with them) were also with him. When he prayed for water, he stood on his feet. There was no pulpit, and in this manner he supplicated and then offered two rak‘ahs of prayer in which he recited aloud. There was neither adhan nor iqamah.
