بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْمِزَاحِ وَالتَّرْهِيبِ مِنَ الْكَذِبِ فيه
Chapter on what has been narrated regarding joking and warning against lying in it
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 9915 — on what has been narrated regarding joking
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ لَا يَرَى بِهَا بَأْسًا يَهْوِي بِهَا سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا فِي النَّارِ
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed, a person utters a word, while he does not even feel any harm in it, but because of it he falls into the Fire to a distance of seventy years.
