بَابُ التَّرْغِيبِ فِي الصَّبْرِ عَلَى الْمَرْضِ مُطْلَقًا فِي أَى عُضْوِ كَانَ مِنَ الْإِنْسَانِ وَفَضْلِهِ
Chapter on encouragement to patience in illness in general, in any part of the body, and its virtue
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 9367 — on encouragement to patience in illness
عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَسَدِ بْنِ كُرْزٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ((الْمَرِيضُ تَحَاتُّ خَطَايَاهُ كَمَا يَحَاتُّ وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Asad bin Kurz (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The sins of a sick person fall away just as the leaves of a tree fall.
