عَنْ يُحَنَّسَ أَبِي مُوسَى أَنَّ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقِيَهَا يَوْمًا فَقَالَ: ((مِنْ أَيْنَ جِئْتِ يَا أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ؟)) فَقَالَتْ: مِنَ الْحَمَّامِ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((مَا مِنْ امْرَأَةٍ تَنْزِعُ ثِيَابَهَا إِلَّا هَتَكَتْ مَا بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ سِتْرٍ))
Sayyida Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) met her, and he (peace be upon him) asked her: "Umm Darda! Where are you coming from?" She replied: "From the bathhouse." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Any woman who removes her clothes (outside her home), she tears the veil between herself and Allah the Exalted."
