بَابُ التَّرْغِيْبِ فِي كَفَالَةِ الْيَتیْمِ وَالْإِحْسَانِ إِلَيْهِ، وَمَسْحٍ رَأْسِهِ وَالشَّهْرِ عَلَى الْأَرْمَلَةِ وَالْمِسْكِينِ
Chapter on encouragement to sponsor orphans, be kind to them, caress their heads, and care for widows and the needy

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَجُلًا شَكَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسْوَةَ قَلْبِهِ فَقَالَ امْسَحْ رَأْسَ الْيَتِيمِ وَأَطْعِمِ الْمِسْكِينَ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrates that a man complained to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the hardness of his heart. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Stroke the head of an orphan and feed the poor."
