Sincerity in Intention and Action
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْأَخْلَاصِ فِي الْعَمَلِ وَمُضَاعَفَةِ الآخر بِسَبِهِ
Chapter on what has been narrated regarding sincerity in action and the multiplication of reward because of it

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah does not look at your appearances or your wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The heart is the center of piety (taqwa), sincerity (ikhlas), various gems, and the treasures of gnosis (ma‘rifah); similarly, a servant’s perfection lies in righteous deeds (amal salih). In the sight of Allah Ta‘ala, outward appearance and wealth hold no significance.
