Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 85 — on the branches of faith and similar matters
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((الْإِيمَانُ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَسِتُّونَ بَابًا، أَرْفَعُهَا وَأَعْلَاهَا قَوْلُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَدْنَاهَا إِمَاطَةُ الْأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Faith has sixty-four branches; the highest and most exalted of them is to say «لاَ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ», and the lowest branch is to remove something harmful from the path."
