Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Ring of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and That It Was Made of Silver
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 7980 — on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Ring
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ اصْطَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا فَقَالَ إِنَّا قَدِ اصْطَنَعْنَا خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْنَا فِيهِ نَقْشًا فَلَا يَنْقُشْ أَحَدٌ عَلَيْهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) had a ring made and said: We have had a ring made and have engraved on it (the words "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah"); none of you may have this inscription made.
