عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ هَبَطْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ أَذَاخِرَ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا عَلَيَّ رَيْطَةٌ مُضَرَّجَةٌ بِعُصْفُرٍ فَقَالَ مَا هَذِهِ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَرِهَهَا فَأَتَيْتُ أَهْلِي وَهُمْ يَسْجُرُونَ تَنُّورَهُمْ فَلَفَفْتُهَا ثُمَّ أَلْقَيْتُهَا فِيهِ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَتِ الرَّيْطَةُ قَالَ قُلْتُ قَدْ عَرَفْتُ مَا كَرِهْتَ مِنْهَا فَأَتَيْتُ أَهْلِي وَهُمْ يَسْجُرُونَ تَنُّورَهُمْ فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا فِيهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهَلَّا كَسَوْتَهَا بَعْضَ أَهْلِكَ وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ حِينَ هَبَطَ بِهِمْ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ أَذَاخِرَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى جَدْرٍ اتَّخَذَهُ قِبْلَةً فَأَقْبَلَتْ بَهْمَةٌ تَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا زَالَ يُدَارِئُهَا وَيَدْنُو مِنَ الْجَدْرِ حَتَّى نَظَرْتُ إِلَى بَطْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ لَصِقَ بِالْجِدَارِ وَمَرَّتْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: We were descending the valley of Idhkhir (located between Makkah and Madinah) with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards me, I was wearing a sheet that was dyed with safflower, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What is this? I realized that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked it, so I left from there and went to my family, they had lit the oven, I wrapped that sheet and threw it into the oven. Then I came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What happened to that sheet? I said: I came to know of your dislike, so I went to my family, they had lit the oven, I threw that sheet into it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You should have made someone from your family wear it. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) descended the valley of Idhkhir and led us in prayer, there was a wall in front, which was taken as a sutrah, a goat or lamb came and started passing in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept moving closer to the wall to avoid it, until I saw the blessed stomach of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), it touched the wall and the animal passed behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
