عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَانَ الْكَيِّ التَّكْمِيدُ وَمَكَانَ الْعِلَاقِ السَّعُوطُ وَمَكَانَ النَّفْخِ اللَّدُودُ
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Applying heat with a cloth is better than cauterization; instilling drops in the nose is a better method of treatment than applying medicine by inserting a finger into the throat; and administering medicine from one side of the mouth is a better method of treatment than blowing into the throat.
