عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ الدِّيَةَ فِي الْخَطَأِ أَخْمَاسًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) established five categories for the blood money (diyah) of accidental killing.
