بَابُ النَّهْي عَنْ قَتْلِ الْحَيَوَانِ أَوِ الْإِنْسَانِ صَبْرًا أَوْ بِشَيْءٍ فِيْهِ تَعْذِيْبٌ وَعَنِ التَّمْثِيْلِ بِهِ
Chapter: Prohibition of killing animals or humans by torture or in a way that causes suffering, and of mutilation
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 6535 — Prohibition of killing animals or humans
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ((أَعَفُّ (وَفِي لَفْظٍ: إِنَّ أَعَفَّ) النَّاسِ قِتْلَةً أَهْلُ الْإِيمَانِ))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Among all people, the believers are the most merciful when they kill.

Benefits: … It is understood from this that we should adopt such a manner for slaughtering in which the animal experiences the least possible suffering.
