Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 642 — on Rinsing the Mouth, Sniffing Water
عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا (تَصِفُ وَضُوءَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ) قَالَتْ: وَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً
Sayyidah Rabi’ bint Mu’awwiz (may Allah be pleased with her), describing the ablution of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rinsed his mouth and put water into his nose once each.
