Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 6277 — Acceptance of gifts from non-Muslims

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَهْدَى كِسْرَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَبِلَ مِنْهُ وَأَهْدَى لَهُ قَيْصَرُ فَقَبِلَ مِنْهُ وَأَهْدَتْ لَهُ الْمُلُوكُ فَقَبِلَ مِنْهُمْ

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Kisra sent a gift to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted it. Caesar gave him (peace and blessings be upon him) a present, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted it. Other kings also gave him (peace and blessings be upon him) gifts, which he (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted.
