عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ وَلَقَدْ رَهَنَ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ دِرْعًا لَهُ عِنْدَ يَهُودِيٍّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَخَذَ مِنْهُ طَعَامًا فَمَا وَجَدَ مَا يَفْتَكُّهَا بِهِ زَادَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ حَتَّى مَاتَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, deposited his armor as collateral with a Jew in Madinah and took some grain from him, and until his passing, there was not enough means for him, peace and blessings be upon him, to take it back.
