بَابٌ فِي أَنَّ نَفْسَ الْمَيِّتِ مَحْبُوسَةٌ عَنِ الْجَنَّةِ بِدَيْنِهِ
Chapter: That the soul of the deceased is held back from Paradise due to his debt
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 6031 — That the soul of the deceased is held back
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْيَدِ مَا أَخَذَتْ حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَ وَفِي لَفْظٍ حَتَّى تُوَدِّيَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whatever the hand takes, it remains a liability upon him until it is repaid.
