عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَرِيزٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ يُسْتَجَابُ لِلْمَرْءِ بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ لِأَخِيهِ فَمَا دَعَا لِأَخِيهِ بِدَعْوَةٍ إِلَّا قَالَ الْمَلَكُ وَلَكَ بِمِثْلٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a person prays for his brother in his absence, his prayer is accepted. In such a case, when he prays for his brother, an angel says: May the same be for you.
