Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 5572 — on What Is Said to Repel Harm from Anything
عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا خَافَ مِنْ رَجُلٍ أَوْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) feared any man or nation, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! Indeed, I place You before them, and we seek refuge in You from their evils." (O Allah! Surely, I set You against them and we seek Your protection from their evils.)
