Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is narrated from Hazrat Zayd bin Harithah radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “Jibril alayhis salam came to him at the beginning of the revelation to him, and taught him ablution (wudu) and prayer (salah). When he finished the ablution, he took a handful of water and sprinkled it over his private part.” (Ibn Majah: 1/172–173, Sahihah: 841) It is understood from this that after ablution (wudu), one should sprinkle a handful of water over the private part.
