بَابُ التَّعْلِيظِ فِي الْيَمِينِ الْفَاجِرَةِ وَتَعْظِيمِهَا عَلَى مِنْبَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
Chapter on the Severity of a False Oath and Its Magnification on the Pulpit of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 5320 — on the Severity of a False Oath
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ يَقْتَطِعُ بِهَا مَالَ مُسْلِمٍ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ وَقَرَأَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِصْدَاقَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا أُولَئِكَ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ} [آل عمران: 77]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath in order to unlawfully seize a Muslim’s wealth will meet Allah while He is angry with him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse from the Book of Allah according to his statement: {إِنَّ الَّذِینَ یَشْتَرُونَ بِعَہْدِ اللّٰہِ … … لَہُمْ فِی الْآخِرَۃِ وَلَا یُکَلِّمُہُمُ اللّٰہُ} … Those who exchange Allah’s covenant and their oaths for a small price, they will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them.
