Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 52 — on what has come regarding their virtue
عَنْ عَمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((مَنْ مَاتَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ قِيلَ لَهُ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أَيِّ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ الثَّمَانِيَةِ شِئْتَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever dies in such a state that he believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day, it will be said to him: Enter Paradise through whichever of its eight gates you wish."
