Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Arqam Zahri or Ibn Abi Arqam passed by me; they were appointed over the collection of charity. They took me along with them. In another narration, it is stated: They took me along so that I could also get something from it. When I returned, I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this matter, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Charity is forbidden for Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the slave of a people is considered among them.
