بَابُ صِفَةِ الْكَفَنِ لِلرَّجُلِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَفِي كَمْ ثَوْبٍ يَكُونُ
Chapter on the description of the shroud for men and women and how many garments it should be
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 3115 — on the description of the shroud for men
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُفِّنَ فِي ثَلَاثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ: فِي قَمِيصِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ، وَحُلَّةٍ نَجْرَانِيَّةٍ، الْحُلَّةُ ثَوْبَانِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was shrouded in three garments: one was a shirt in which he, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, and there was a Najrani suit (set), and a suit consists of two garments.
