Chapter on the Definition of Awrah, Its Explanation, and the Evidence of Those Who Say the Thigh is Awrah
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 1389 — on the Definition of Awrah, Its Explanation
(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَرْحَدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَاهُ جَرْحَدًا يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((فَخِذُ الْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ عَوْرَةٌ))
With another chain of narration, it is narrated from Abdullah bin Jurhad Aslami that he heard from his father Sayyiduna Jurhad (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The thigh of a Muslim man is ‘awrah (a part that must be covered).
