حَسْرُ الْفُرَاتِ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَقِتَالُ النَّاسِ عَلَيْهِ
The uncovering of the Euphrates from a mountain of gold and the fighting of people over it
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 12945 — The uncovering of the Euphrates
عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”يَحْسِرُ الْفُرَاتُ أَوْ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَحْسِرَ الْفُرَاتُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَيَقْتَتِلَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ فَيُقْتَلُ مِنْ كُلِّ مِائَةٍ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ، يَا بُنَيَّ! فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَهُ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِمَّنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Hour will not be established until the river Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold, over which people will fight so much that out of every hundred, ninety-nine will be killed in that battle. Dear son! If you find yourself in such circumstances, do not be among those who fight.
