الْفَضْلُ الثَّانِي فِي صِفَةِ الْخَوَارِجِ وَعَلَامَةِ قَائِدِهِمْ و مهمهِمْ وَالأمْرِ بِقَتْلِهِمْ وَإِنَّ طَائِفَةً عَلَى رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى الْحَقِّ
The second section regarding the description of the Khawarij, the sign of their leader, their mission, the command to kill them, and that a group with Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is upon the truth

عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ إِنَّ مِنَّا رِجَالًا هُمْ أَقْرَؤُنَا لِلْقُرْآنِ وَأَكْثَرُنَا صَلَاةً وَأَوْصَلُنَا لِلرَّحِمِ وَأَكْثَرُنَا صَوْمًا خَرَجُوا عَلَيْنَا بِأَسْيَافِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ ”يَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: Some of us used to recite the Qur'an a lot, perform prayers, excel in maintaining ties of kinship, and fast, and those very people drew their swords and rose against us. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said about them: Some people will appear who will recite the Qur'an, but the Qur'an will not go beyond their throats. They will go out of the religion just as an arrow swiftly passes through its prey.
