الفَضْلُ الْخَامِسُ فِيْمَا جَاءَ فِي تَارِيخِ قَتْلِهِ وَالصَّلَاةِ عَلَيْهِ وَدَفْنِهِ وَمُدَّةٍ خِلَافَتِهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ
The Fifth Virtue Regarding What Has Been Narrated About the Date of His Killing, the Prayer Over Him, His Burial, and the Duration of His Caliphate, may Allah be pleased with him

وَعَنْ مُعْتَمِرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ قُتِلَ فِي أَوْسَطِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ
It is narrated from Mu'tamir bin Sulaiman, he says: My father Sulaiman said that Abu Uthman told him that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred on the middle day of Tashreeq.
