Hadith 11541

Sayyiduna Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This tribe of the Ansar is a means of testing people; loving them is faith and harboring enmity towards them is hypocrisy.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … That is, Allah Ta’ala will test (people) through love and enmity towards the Ansar; whoever loves them has succeeded, and whoever harbors enmity has failed. It is as if the Ansar are the touchstone and criterion of faith and hypocrisy.
