عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْنَى عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ ”إِنَّكُنَّ لَأَهَمُّ مَا أَتْرُكُ إِلَى وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي وَاللَّهِ لَا يَعْطِفُ عَلَيْكُنَّ إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ أَوِ الصَّادِقُونَ“
(Second chain) Abu Salamah narrates that Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) leaned over me with utmost affection and said: Of all the matters I will leave behind after me, the affair of my wives is the most important to me. By Allah! Those who show kindness to you will be elevated to the highest ranks of patience and truthfulness.
