عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ حَلَالًا وَبَنَى بِهَا حَلَالًا وَكُنْتُ الرَّسُولَ بَيْنَهُمَا
Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) married Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and when her departure (rukhsati) took place, on both occasions he was not in the state of ihram. I was the messenger between these two personalities.
