Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 11342 — on What Has Been Reported Regarding His ﷺ
عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ مَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَ أَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيْنَا أَسْمَاءُ جُبَّةً مَزْرُورَةً بِالدِّيبَاجِ فَقَالَتْ فِي هَذِهِ كَانَ يَلْقَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَدُوَّ
Mawla Asma reports from Abu Umar, who says: Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) placed a cloak before us, which had silk buttons. She said: This is the cloak in which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would meet even the enemy.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … For any general necessity, it is permissible to use silk up to the width of four fingers.
