Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was above the shoulders and below the ears.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In Arabic, three words are used for long hair of the head: Jummah: Hair that reaches the shoulders or touches the shoulders. Wafrah: Hair that is up to the level of the ears. Limmah: Hair that is between the ears and the shoulders. All three words have been commonly used regarding the blessed hair of the beloved and noble Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. It is possible that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would have his hair cut, he would have it trimmed to the lower part of the ears, and when it would grow to the point of touching the shoulders, he would have it cut again.
