Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: This hadith is the opposite of the hadith in which it is mentioned that the hair of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would reach his shoulders. The answer given to this is that most often the hair of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would reach up to his earlobes, and if it was straightened, it would reach the shoulders. Or, these two ahadith will be interpreted as referring to two different states. (Fath al-Bari: 6/572)
