بَابٌ فِي فَضْلِ انْتِظَارِ الصَّلَاةِ وَالسَّعْيِ إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ
Chapter on the Virtue of Waiting for Prayer and Going to the Mosques
Al-Fath ar-Rabbani 1039 — on the Virtue of Waiting for Prayer
وَعَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((كُلُّ خُطْوَةٍ يَخْطُوها إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ يُكْتَبُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ وَيُمْحَى بِهَا عَنْهُ سَيِّئَةٌ))
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every step that a servant takes towards prayer, one good deed is written for him and one sin is forgiven.
