وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ ((فَأَخَذَ ثَوْبَهُ وَطَفِقَ بِالْحَجَرِ ضَرْبًا)) فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ بِالْحَجَرِ نَدَبًا سِتَّةً أَوْ سَبْعَةً ضَرَبَ مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِالْحَجَرِ
In one narration it is stated: Musa (peace be upon him) took his clothes and began to strike the stone. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! Due to the striking of Musa (peace be upon him), there were six or seven marks on the stone.
