بَابُ إِذَا أَحَبَّ الرَّجُلُ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُعْلِمْهُ

Al-Adab al-Mufrad 542 — If a Man Loves His Brother, Let Him Inform Him
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ ثَوْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ، وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”إِذَا أَحَبَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُعْلِمْهُ أَنَّهُ أَحَبَّهُ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him), and he witnessed the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When one of you loves his brother, he should inform him that he loves him."
