Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Isa narrated to us, from Al-A’mash, from Habib, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas who said: Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "Let us go out to the land of our people." So we went out, and I and Ubayy ibn Ka’b were at the rear of the people. Then a cloud arose, and Ubayy said: "O Allah, turn away its harm from us." So we caught up with them, and their baggage had become wet. They said: "Did not what befell us befall you?" I said: "He supplicated to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, to turn away its harm from us." Umar said: "Why did you not supplicate for us along with you?"
