Sunan Abu Dawud 4869 — Transmitting what others have said
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَخِي جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمَجَالِسُ بِالْأَمَانَةِ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةَ مَجَالِسَ : سَفْكُ دَمٍ حَرَامٍ ، أَوْ فَرْجٌ حَرَامٌ ، أَوِ اقْتِطَاعُ مَالٍ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ " .
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet ﷺ said: Meetings are confidential except three: those for the purpose of shedding blood unlawfully, or committing fornication, or acquiring property unjustly.

1؎ : In these three situations, it is not permissible for the listener to conceal it; rather, disclosing it is necessary in order to prevent evil.

This narration is weak.
However, wisdom, ethics, and other evidences all require that the conversation which takes place in a consultative gathering is considered confidential and a trust.
It is obligatory upon the participants of the gathering to safeguard it, except in the case where the discussion involves the taking of someone’s life, wealth, or honor—then it is forbidden (haram) to keep such secrets.
