(وفي رواية اخرى عن معاذ رضي الله عنه قال فقلت يا رسول الله افلا ابشر به الناس قال لا تبشرهم فيتكلوا )
Hazrat Mu’adh bin Jabal (RA) narrated that I was sitting behind the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) on his mount. There was nothing between me and the Prophet (PBUH) except the rear part of the saddle. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “O Mu’adh!” I replied: “At your service, O Messenger of Allah!” Then he rode for a while and again said: “O Mu’adh!” I replied: “At your service, O Messenger of Allah!” Then he rode a little more and again said: “O Mu’adh!” I replied: “At your service, O Messenger of Allah!” He said: “Do you know what right Allah has over His servants?” I said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “The right of Allah over His servants is that they worship Allah alone and associate no partners with Him.” Then the Prophet (PBUH) rode for a while and said: “O Mu’adh bin Jabal!” I replied: “At your service, O Messenger of Allah!” He said: “Do you know what right the servants have over Allah when they do this?” I said: “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said: “The right of the servants over Allah is that He will not punish them.”
“In another narration, Hazrat Mu’adh (RA) said: I asked: O Messenger of Allah! Shall I give glad tidings to the people? The Prophet (PBUH) said: Do not give glad tidings to the people, lest they rely solely on that.”

Narrated by Hazrat Abu Dharr (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: “O My servants! I have forbidden injustice to Myself and have forbidden it among you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants! You are all astray except those whom I guide, so ask Me for guidance and I will guide you. O My servants! You are all hungry except those whom I feed, so ask Me for food and I will feed you. O My servants! You are all naked except those whom I clothe, so ask Me for clothing and I will clothe you. O My servants! You commit sins by night and day, and I forgive all sins, so ask Me for forgiveness and I will forgive you. O My servants! You cannot harm Me, nor can you benefit Me. O My servants! If the first and the last of you, humans and jinn, were to be as pious as the heart of the most pious man among you, it would not increase My kingdom at all. O My servants! If the first and the last of you, humans and jinn, were to be as wicked as the heart of the most wicked man among you, it would not decrease My kingdom at all. O My servants! If the first and the last of you, humans and jinn, were to gather in one place and ask Me, and I were to fulfill the request of every one of them, it would decrease My kingdom only as much as a needle decreases the sea when it is dipped into it. O My servants! These are your deeds, I count them for you and then recompense you fully for them, so whoever receives a good reward, let him praise Allah, and whoever receives anything else, let him blame himself.”

Once Hazrat Salman (RA) went to meet Hazrat Abu Darda (RA) and saw Umm Darda (RA) in a very tattered and worn condition. He asked why she was in such a state. Umm Darda (RA) replied that your brother Abu Darda (RA) has no worldly needs. Then Hazrat Abu Darda (RA) came and food was presented before them and he said: Eat. He said: I am fasting. Hazrat Salman (RA) said: I will not eat until you join me. The narrator said that then they both ate (and broke their fast). At night, Hazrat Abu Darda (RA) got up for worship and again Hazrat Salman (RA) said: Sleep now. Then when the last part of the night came, Hazrat Salman (RA) said: Now get up. So both prayed. After that, Hazrat Salman (RA) said: Your Lord has a right over you, your soul has a right over you, and your wife has a right over you. Therefore, every right-holder should be given their due rights. Then they went to the Prophet (PBUH) and mentioned this. The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Salman (RA) has spoken the truth.”

I asked: O Messenger of Allah! We were in the era of ignorance and evil, then Allah blessed us with this good; will there be a time of evil after this good? He (peace be upon him) said: “Yes.” I asked: Will there be a time of good after that evil? He said: “Yes, but that good will be weak.” I asked: What will be its weakness? It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked me: “Is it true that you worship throughout the night and then fast during the day?” I said: Yes, O Prophet! I do that. He (peace be upon him) said: “But if you do that, your eyes will become weak (due to sleeplessness) and your soul will become feeble. Know that your self has a right over you, and your wife and children have rights as well. Therefore, sometimes fast and sometimes do not fast; worship and also sleep.”

Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Allah likes sneezing because it is sometimes a sign of health, and dislikes yawning. Therefore, when one of you sneezes, he should say الحمد لله, but yawning comes from Satan. And the Prophet (PBUH) forbade drinking from silver vessels, wearing gold rings, riding on silk saddles, and wearing silk, brocade, qassi, and istabraq.

Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the respected wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) heard the sound of a dispute at the door of his chamber, so he came out towards them. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “I am also a human being and people bring their cases to me.
