Answer:
The time for Jumuʿah begins after the sun passes its zenith (zawāl). Jumuʿah cannot be performed before zawāl.
Scholarly Statement:
❀ Imām al-Shāfiʿī رحمه الله (204 AH):
لا اختلاف عند أحد لقيته أن لا تصلى الجمعة حتى تزول الشمس
“Among all the scholars I have met, there is no difference of opinion that Jumuʿah is not to be performed until after the sun has passed its zenith.”
(al-Umm, 1/223)
✅ Conclusion:
Jumuʿah prayer is valid only after zawāl; performing it before this time is not permissible.
